JuhNolong Committees
Program Director of JuhNolong
Tanusri A/P S.Ravi

Hi everyone!
I’m Tanusri Ravi, the Program Director of JuhNolong—and I’m truly happy to welcome you here.
Organizing this initiative in a rural village in Sarawak has been incredibly special to me, especially since I’m originally from Johor. Being in Sarawak surrounded by new cultures and communities, has been such a meaningful experience. The warmth and kindness I’ve received here inspired me even more to give back in any way I can.
There’s honestly nothing more rewarding than seeing the villagers smile, feeling appreciated, and knowing that someone out there cares. I’m also really happy that I got to do this alongside such a dedicated and passionate committee—we’ve truly grown together through this experience.
JuhNolong isn’t just a program. It’s a community outreach effort that brings people together, creates real connections, and reminds us that helping—even in small ways—can spark something powerful.
Thank you for being part of this journey. Let’s continue helping, together.

Greetings and welcome,
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the official website of JuhNolong, a community outreach programme organised by the Persatuan Mahasiswa Fakulti Ekonomi & Perniagaan (PERFEP), UNIMAS, in collaboration with the community of Kampung Tanjung Apong, Asajaya.
This initiative reflects our commitment not only to producing knowledgeable graduates, but also socially responsible individuals who are aware of and care deeply about the well-being of our communities. Through JuhNolong, our students are given the opportunity to contribute their time, energy, and expertise toward building a more inclusive and sustainable society. Our heartfelt appreciation goes to all parties who have contributed to the success of this programme. May the spirit of collaboration and compassion continue to thrive for the benefit of all.
Thank you.

Helping each other, especially those less fortunate, is a vital part of building a compassionate, united and progressive society. Rural communities often face unique challenges such as limited access to education, healthcare, and employment opportunities. In such places, where resources may be scarce and development uneven, the value of mutual support becomes even more critical. When people come together to help their neighbors-whether by sharing food, teaching and disseminating knowledge, or supporting children's education-they created a stronger, more resilient community.
Empathy and care are the foundation of this spirit. When individuals genuinely understand the struggles others face and feel moved to act, positive change becomes possible. This is especially true for the youth, who represent the future of society. Instilling the values of empathy and care in young people ensures that the next generation is not only skilled and knowledgeable but also kind-hearted and socially responsible.
By teaching young people to help one another-especially those who are struggling-we invest not only in a better present but also in a more just and caring future for all.
Ultimately, a society that helps its most vulnerable members is a society that grows together.
I extend my heartfelt appreciation to all parties who contributed to the success of the programme.
Have Empathy and Be Kind.
